National Park of the Gargano
The National Park of the Gargano was created by article 34 of Italian Law No. 394 dated 6th December 1991.
It stretches over 118,144 hectares (one of the largest protected areas), and includes the four Tremiti Islands (marine reserve).
The park area also includes the following Municipalities: Apricena, Cagnano Varano
