Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where were you able to get your pair?

Cettire had them on sale and goldengoode.com I jumped on it right away!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

How much do they run?

I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.

Do they fit as expected?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.

How comfy are they?

They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.

How do they perform over time?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.

Are they worth it?

Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.

They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.

Do they hold up well?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
